Нещодавно до КЗ КОР «Спеціалізований обласний будинок дитини» привезли маленьку крихітку, яка народилася передчасно. Зараз дитинка особливо потребує турботи, любові та спеціалізованого харчування для недоношених дітей.
Дізнавшись про цю потребу, ми не могли залишитися осторонь. Завдяки фінансовій підтримці нашого благодійника Себастіана Шміта вдалося придбати та передати спеціалізовану дитячу суміш на перший час.
Щиро дякуємо Sébastien Schmid за небайдужість, чуйність і готовність допомагати тим, хто найбільше цього потребує.
Від усього серця бажаємо цій маленькій крихітці якнайшвидше набратися сил, підрости, зміцніти та бути здоровою. Нехай попереду буде щаслива доля, багато любові й турботи, а поруч обов’язково з’являться люди, які подарують справжнє сімейне тепло та безмежну батьківську любов.
Кожна дитина заслуговує на щасливе дитинство. Разом ми можемо подарувати надію навіть найменшим.
Our association
Goals
- Help at all levels the refugees who arrive in the Broye region by providing them with clothes and shoes, basic necessities, games and toys for the children.
- Provide administrative assistance for the first steps in Switzerland.
- Support and inform hosts who show solidarity.
Objectives
- Bring the refugees some serenity and calm.
- Integrate them into our society as soon as possible.
- Offer them activities.
- Put them in touch with their compatriots.
Missions
- Contact the communes and schools to create a link.
- Find partnerships for the provision of food or services.
- Bring together the various solidarity movements in our region with our association.
- Organise French courses throughout the Broye region.
- Provide a personalised service in French and Ukrainian.
Committee
The committee is composed of 5 members, Sébastien (president), Khrystyna (cashier), Jacqueline (secretary), Maryna (refugees management) and Nicolas (responsible for the animations).
Volunteers
Our association operates on a voluntary basis and today we have almost 70 volunteers who are always ready to help.
Creation
Khrystyna and Sébastien Schmid and their children, a mixed Ukrainian-Swiss family living in Portalban, were deeply affected by the events and decided to create the Broye-Ukraine association.
Since the beginning of the war on that dramatic day of 24 February 2022, we have immediately understood that nothing would be the same as before and that we had to act quickly and efficiently.
As a first step, we made an appeal for donations in our private circle and immediately contacted our Ukrainian friends on the Riviera to coordinate our efforts.
In the first days after the war started, we bought medicines in Poland and sent them immediately to Ukraine. This was followed by deliveries of urgent medical supplies, such as tourniquets which save lives following bullet and shrapnel wounds.
Our first missions were followed by different actions:
- Collection from medical practices in the Broye region
- Collection from the HIB hospital in Payerne
- Collection from pharmacies
- Collection from various health institutions in the region
- Charity concert and collections at the “Pati d’Estavayer” (temporary ice rink)
- Shipments to Ukraine of clothes and food as well as sleeping bags and blankets.
- Repatriation of a family from Poland to Montet
It was when we took in this family in Estavayer and listened to their stories that we understood that we also had a mission to help refugees arriving in Switzerland.
On 17 March, Nicolas Baechler joined us and we filed the statutes with the prefecture and the commune of Delley-Portalban. Everything went very quickly. We had to find premises, volunteers and set up the structure. All this was achieved in record time, less than a week.
